2011 Program Calendar Now Available

Spring is here and the 2011 season at Caponi Art Park and Learning Center is just around the corner. Programs are now listed online and on Caponi Art Park's Facebook page. You can look forward to your favorites, including the Summer Performance Series, Shakespeare Festival, Medieval Fair, and Family Fun Tuesdays. See you at the Art Park in May!





Creative Adventures: A New Program at Caponi Art Park

We are excited to announce Creative Adventures, a new outreach program at Caponi Art Park! Creative Adventures opens up a world of unique art and nature-inspired experiences for low income children, youth, and families free of charge.

Organized groups of up to 50 youth visiting the park for this half-day program can choose between an hour-long interactive performance or a hands-on activity, in addition to a tour of the Art Park's unique sculpture garden. Stipends for transportation costs are also available.

Schedule a Guided Tour

Interested in learning more about Caponi Art Park? We offer guided tours for organized groups such as childcare centers, schools, religious and community organizations. Tours may include information about the park, history, founder and programs, discussion and tactile exploration of the sculptures, and environmental education. Hands-on activities inspired by nature are also available for children and youth as a fun way to enhance the tour experience. Internships for the 2011 Season

We are currently accepting applications for two internship positions. Internships at Caponi Art Park are ideal for college students and recent graduates interested in the arts, education and event management.

Park Attendant and Event Assistant
This intern will help coordinate events by managing volunteers, meeting artist needs, and assisting with equipment set‐up and takedown. Intern will also serve as a park attendant, available to answer visitor questions, manage databases, and fulfill other office‐related tasks. Read more about this position on our website.

Nature-based Art Teacher and Docent
The intern will conduct park tours for visitors, as well as lead and evaluate art and nature-based activities for children. For more information, visit our website.
