Spreading Good Vibes

This Sunday, the expressive and culturally rich sounds of traditional and contemporary African American gospel music will fill the Theater in the Woods at Caponi Art Park.

Singular in its diversity and powerhouse vocals, the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir will share the "Good News" of gospel music at the Art Park on July 25. You can expect to leave the concert feeling energized, hopeful, and filled with spirit.  Led by Sandy Robinson and backed by a talented ensemble of 25 musicians, the choir's spirit and harmonies might even bring you to your feet with songs ranging from inspirational spirituals to rocking contemporary gospel tunes. Concert begins at 6:30pm in the Theater in the Woods amphitheater.

Special Activities: Come before the concert from 5:30 – 6:30pm to create a beautiful painted fan to keep cool (all ages). As a special treat, ice cream from local shop Ring Mountain Creamery will be for sale at the event.

Concert is free; a $4 per person donation is suggested to help make this program possible. In the event of rain, concert will be rescheduled for Sunday, August 15. This program is supported, in part, by United Arts and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council.
