Friends of Caponi Art Park,
The Art Park experienced a very eventful fall season: 1,100 people geeked out on interactive history at the Medieval Fair; volunteers were thanked with a fun afternoon of food, friends, ferns and a scavenger hunt; the annual photo contest brought in 200 entries; and the park closed its gates for the season. Here's some photographic proof...
CONGRATS to the winners of our Photo Contest
A wide spectrum of beautiful photos were submitted for this year's contest. We added a youth category to encourage young, budding photographers to foster their creativity through a lens and gain an appreciation for art and nature.
First and second place winners were awarded $75 and $25 cash prizes thanks to our sponsor and local business Legacy Creative Images. View all of the honorable mentions and photos from the awards ceremony.

THANK YOU to our volunteers for making this season possible
From the Program and Volunteer Coordinator, Heather P. Westerlund:
Our volunteers are truly some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Like myself, they share a common belief that creativity and nature is essential to the well-being of each individual and their community.
I'd like to thank the 150 volunteers who gave 2,600 hours of service to help provide a memorable experience for over 10,000 people this season. With a barebones staff and budget, volunteers make Caponi Art Park and Learning Center possible, including no-cost arts and cultural programs, guided tours and nature-inspired activities for groups, and a calming space to enjoy family, friends, art and nature.

Volunteers Beth Betts, Linda Quammen, Sara Heesen, Mark Oldfield and Cathy Marquardt listen to Anthony Caponi tell a story at the appreciation event in October. |
Park Hours:
We'll reopen next spring!
9:00am - seasonal close time
Tuesday - Sunday (closed Monday)
May - October
Open to the public free of charge. Donations are appreciated to help maintain the park & provide programs.
