Step Back into the Middle Ages this Sunday, Sept. 25

Discover what it was like to live during the Middle Ages at Caponi Art Park's Medieval Fair this Sunday, September 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Members of the Society for Creative Anachronism's Barony of Nordskogen chapter will transform the woods of Caponi Art Park into a Medieval Village. Reinacters in period dress will present educational demonstrations and activities to the public in authentic pavillions, including fiber arts, armored combat, cooking, music, and more.

Admission to the program is free, with a $4 per person suggested donation. For more information about the event, visit our website.

Meaning Beyond Reason Fireside Book Launch

New InstallationCaponi Art Park will host a public launch party for Meaning Beyond Reason, a collection of essays by Anthony Caponi, the park's founder and artistic director, on Sunday, October 9. All are invited to meet the author from 1-4 p.m., purchase a signed copy of the book, and explore autumn at the Art Park. Anthony Caponi will read a select passage of Meaning Beyond Reason at 2 p.m. next to the outdoor fireplace in the Sculpture Garden.

Meaning Beyond Reason explores the ideas that, since he was a young child in Italy, have guided the creation of Anthony Caponi's artwork and everyday living. More information about the book launch and it's author, Anthony Caponi, is available on our website.
