Programs at Caponi Art Park

Celebrating 20 years of art and nature, Caponi Art Park and Learning Center is a distinctive nonprofit community space offering free cultural and educational experiences in an inviting, natural setting.

Caponi Art Park provides accessible cultural programs and educational opportunities to thousands of visitors of all ages. Family-friendly programs include:

Summer Performance Series features a wide variety of music, theater and dance by the region's most talented artists presented in the Theater in the Woods outdoor amphitheater.

Family Fun Tuesdays is a weekly series for families to experience a variety of art forms, learn about world cultures and explore new ideas together in the sculpture garden.

Medieval Fair is an educational event for all ages that brings the Middle Ages to life with authentic pavilions, costumes, music, dance, cooking, weaponry, and interactive demonstrations.

Halloween at the Art Park uses the holiday as a platform to teach children about spooky sculptures and the park, and to initiate discovery of the natural world through playing in autumn leaves and creating nature-related crafts.

Poets in the Park Teen Poetry Slam, presented by Valley Natural Foods, is a program created in partnership with the School of Environmental Studies and is a platform for teens to creatively express themselves through spoken word.

Caponi Art Park's Photography Programs include two digital photography workshops, a Family Portraiture Day, and a photography contest with gallery exhibit of winning photographs taken at the Art Park.

All programs are free of charge with a suggested donation. Your contribution helps make quality programs possible, and supports the artists who bring their craft to Caponi Art Park.
