2009 Photo Contest

Caponi Art Park and Learning Center invites you to enter our 2nd annual online digital photography contest. It's as simple as this: show us what the Art Park looks like through your eyes. Original digital images taken at the park are all eligible for the competition. Submitted photos (images marked as "public") can be viewed at the Caponi Art Park Flickr group.

Sponsored by local studio Legacy Creative Images, First and Second prize winners will be awarded in both adult and youth (14 and under) categories:

1st Place: $75 cash prize
2nd Place: $25 cash prize

In addition, winning photographs will be announced in our November e-newsletter and to local newspapers, posted on our website and used in promotional materials.

Contest Rules:

• Photos must have been taken at the park;
• People captured in photos must consent use of their image;
• Photo must have been taken by the person submitting it;
• Images must be in digital format with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the shortest dimension.

How to Enter: Submit your photo(s) by 11:59pm Central Standard Time on October 11, 2009. To enter, upload your photo(s) via Flickr using these easy steps:

1. Register for a free account at Flickr.com, or login.
2. Join the Caponi Art Park group.
3. Upload and title your favorite photo(s)
4. Submit your favorite photo(s) to the Caponi Art Park group and make sure to tag each photo with the appropriate tag:

Your Rights: You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit -- including ownership if applicable -- other than those rights licensed in the next sentence. By entering the contest, you hereby grant to Caponi Art Park (i) a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display and publicly perform the photographs you submit to Caponi Art Park, and (ii) the right to use your name, city and state of residence in promotions and other publications.
