Coiled Perch

The art park commissioned Korrin Lohmann to create Coiled Perch through a donation from the Italian Cultural Center in honor of their 10th anniversary. This functional art work appears to fracture and twist into the ground, echoing the natural decay found in wooded lands. The artist stated she developed the design after visiting the site to “observe the geographic and cultural elements of the surrounding environment.” Lohmann chooses materials that “echo the unique features of the site and creates a form that feels as if it belongs, as if it should always have been there.”
