Hull-Rust-Mahoning Table

Hull-Rust-Mahoning Table was created by Tamsie Ringler, the organizer and a presenter at IRON50. Ringler is currently Foundry artist and Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This sculpture is an homage to the history of iron mining in Minnesota and the Hull–Rust–Mahoning open pit iron mine in Hibbing. Minnesota is the largest producer of iron ore in the country and this mine is the largest open pit mine in the state measuring three miles (5 km) long, two miles (3 km) wide, and 535 feet deep. www.ringler.com
