A phoenix is an immortal bird from Greek mythology that is reborn from the flames and ashes of its own death. It is a symbol of new beginnings, the cycle of life and overcoming adversity.
Phoenix is another of Caponi’s sculptures made of welded corten steel.
The sculpture is a gift to the art park from John and Marie Tobin.
The surrounding native plant garden was funded by the Eagan Kick-Start Rotary Club.
