The Rain King was donated to the art park by Irene Donaldson in 1997.
To make the piece ready to install Caponi had to drill “dead center” 18” up into the sculpture to be sure it would stand upright. He anchored it with a stainless steel rod that fit a matching hole in the 6 ft. deep concrete base.
