Caponi Art Park: Celebrating the Year of the Snake | Art Block 2025
Each September, Eagan comes alive with creativity during Art Block—a citywide celebration of art, learning, and community. In 2025, the park is proud to join the festivities with a special focus on the restoration of our beloved Snake sculpture, celebrated through community art and nature-based events. Community Build Art Project
Mosaic Making Workshops
Sunday, September 14 & Saturday, September 20
1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
You are invited to help create a new community mosaic that will be installed on the wall at the site of the Snake sculpture.
This drop-in workshop welcomes all ages and skill levels.
Mosaic Unveiling
Saturday, September 27
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Celebrate our last Art Block event. See the unveiling of the completed mosaics, learn the name of our rock snake and enjoy some popcorn and lemonade.
Guided Sculpture Tours
Sunday, September 14 & 20
3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
A free public tour of the park’s sculpture trails.

The story begins at the dawn of the Scientific Revolution, where a pair of Medieval two-dimensional paper dolls are building the first thing to exist in the next dimension– a human. Combining puppetry, traditional clown theater, and a live score influenced by everything from Medieval court music to Gilbert & Sullivan, “TIGRE! TIGRE!” explores humanity’s relationship to technology while asking the fundamental question: what drives us to perpetually open new doors that we know we won’t be able to close?
