Help Our Rock Snake Grow! A Creative Summer Project for All Ages
Help us celebrate the 2025 restoration of Snake, a beloved sculpture at Caponi Art Park, by adding your own decorated rock to our growing community snake. Snakes help keep ecosystems in balance, and at Caponi Art Park, we are honoring their role in nature and culture as symbols of transformation, healing, and renewal.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Come to the park and paint with us! We will have a table filled with colorful paints, supplies and rocks during select events throughout the summer:
- NAMI Family Fun Day | June 14 | 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Native Art Market and Solstice Celebration | June 21 | 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
- Minnesota Sinfonia Children’s Concert | June 29 | 7:30 p.m.
- Hot Art! Community Iron Pour | August 9 | 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
- Bring your own rock! Paint it however you like: bright colors, patterns, inspirational quotes, or meaningful symbols and place your rock at the end of the snake’s tail to help it grow longer and longer!
Remember, this is a community project.
